Two fabrics that look alike and are not
We sell mulberry silk, and we sell satin. Satin is a weave and silk is a fibre, so a satin fabric can be silk and can just as easily be polyester. Most of this industry is comfortable letting that blur. We are not, so every product page here names its own fabric in the first two lines and again in the specifications.

What the range is made of
The silk half is 100 per cent mulberry: the pillowcases, the sleep mask, the bonnet and the baby mittens at 22 momme, and the flat sheet at 19. Momme is a weight rather than a thread count, because silk thread is too fine to count usefully, and a higher number means a denser, longer wearing fabric.
The satin half is one product: a satin weave in 100 per cent polyester, in nine colours, at about half the price of the silk. It glides in much the same way, it machine washes, it holds its colour and it does not need an enzyme-free detergent. It also breathes less, which some people notice in February. Both are worth owning and we would rather sell you the cheaper one honestly labelled than have you pay silk money for a satin weave.
What we will not claim
Silk is smoother than cotton, so hair and skin slide across it rather than dragging. That is a property of the weave and it is as far as we take it. We do not publish effectiveness percentages, we make no medical, dermatological or anti-ageing claim, and where a customer review exists we would link the review rather than paraphrase it. A star rating with no data behind it does not appear on this site at all.
Where we do not have a figure we say so on the page instead of guessing. That is a slower way to sell a pillowcase and it is the only version of this we are willing to run.
How we work
We are an online shop with no showroom, which is part of why the prices are where they are. You order on this site, pay by card through Stripe or by PayPal, and we ship anywhere in Australia. Delivery is free on orders of $90 or more and $27.50 below that, arriving 5 to 7 days, after a 24 to 48 hour handling time. All prices include GST.
You have 15 days to change your mind on an unused item in its original packaging. Australian law gives no statutory cooling-off period for an online purchase, and the consumer guarantees under the Australian Consumer Law apply separately and are not limited by that policy.

What we sell
Mulberry silk pillowcases
22 momme Grade 6A mulberry silk, 51 cm by 76 cm, hidden zip, in eleven colours at one price. Silk on both faces, not one.
Satin pillowcases
A satin weave in 100 per cent polyester, same size, nine colours, about half the price. It says so on the page.
A silk flat sheet
One flat sheet in 19 momme long-strand mulberry silk, charmeuse weave, black or white, queen or king. Not a set.
Silk sleep accessories
A sleep mask, a hair bonnet and newborn scratch mittens, all cut from the same 22 momme mulberry silk as the pillowcases.

Silk from Bombyx mori silkworms raised on mulberry leaves. The filaments are long and uniform, which is what the Grade 6A description refers to.
Why sell silk and satin side by side?
Because both are worth owning and the price gap is real. We would rather sell the cheaper one honestly labelled than have somebody pay silk money for a satin weave.
What will you not claim about silk?
Anything about wrinkles, skin hydration, hair breakage or split ends, and anything described as hypoallergenic or dust-mite resistant. Those claims are common in this category and they are not evidenced.
Do you publish customer ratings?
Only where there is real data behind them. A star rating with nothing behind it does not appear on this site.
